Excellent, comprehensive history of the famed IHC Cub Cadet Garden Tractor. This is a great addition to my library!
practical and worth learning
Basically the best book I've ever read. My hobby has gone towards garden tractors, and I bought this book before I got into the hobby. It provides info on most of the major garden tractor brands, like Ford, Jacobsen, Sears, John Deere, and more. Wish there were more garden tractor books like this!!
Guess it depends what you're into, but if you are a vintage garden tractor guy like me, you will like the book. I read it from cover to cover, great pics! Sure they could have dedicated more to this brand or that, but you can't keep everyone happy. Good coffee table book!
Really? THIS is what I need for school?
As I collect garden tractors, I have 12 total, I could not turn this book down. It is very well written and I was happy to see info on several of the tractors that I own.........If you are interested in these small machines you need to read this book.
This book intrigued me a great deal, but I was a bit disappointed with the specifics. The book is organized by time periods and I believe it may have been more effective to divide it by manufacturers and then tell each product's story. I am a John Deere enthusiast so I naturally would have liked more pictures and story about the long lasting and innovative products The book provides a great deal of information though and overall I was pleased with the reading experience. I do give this a three out of five.
This hard cover book covers mostly antique lawn and garden tractors from pre World War 2 to around the 1980s. It discusses company histories and the products that they made. There are many photos but not of every small tractor ever made. That would be impossible! It provides enhanced detail on the more popular tractors that people restore today. The photos are mainly of restored tractors with some of original brochures. If you collect or restore small lawn and garden tractors, you will read this book from cover to cover. I'd buy it again and thoroughly recommend it.
